Stony Idols Poem by Tanya K.Tuomi

Stony Idols

Armless and noseless gods
With black holes in their eyes...
Fossilized sit at the pedestal
They are watching times passing by,
Masquerade of seasons that's endless
Human birth and human decease
They remember how they were mighty
There were no cracks on their bodies
Now they're old and sick, now they're helpless
And they tell me life is a fast thing
Sky is not always blue as well as cloudy
Love is heaviest weight, love is blissful
