Stop Poem by Sydney La Roche

Stop

Stop! I really love you!
But you're just too far away...
And yes. I've been unfaithful.
And yes. I am to blame.

But I really really love you.
More than words can say
And it sounds mundane,
And so cliché,
But I know you feel the same.

Stop! Stop all the cursing;
You know I'm not that strong.
And yes. I have been rehearsing,
To find the right words,
To make 'us' carry on.

But my life revolves around you;
Waiting for your call.
Waiting for the phone to prove,
You'll be there to break my fall.

Just a call to prove to me,
That I'm not alone.
I'm pretty sad and desperate,
And I'm staring at the phone.

I'm sorry. What can I say to make you see?
That only I am right for you,
And only you are right for me.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
When you realise what a stupid mistake you've made for screwing over the one you love more than anyone else in the world.
