'Stop Crying' Poem by Andrew Boyer

'Stop Crying'

Rating: 5.0

Cant there be a way for him to get around it all?
and in the corner. build a wall, to keep him clear of you

hang little signs across the dusty window pane
the man inside is not insane. hes just a little bit confused.

nothing's overrated more than sunlight
and the darkness gets too boring as well.
it just doesnt seem right, seeing life so black and white
gotta be another choice besides heaven or hell.

send breakfast in the morning and just leave it on the ground.
maybe he will come around, and dig in.

ask him silly questions just to see if he's alive,
such a shame 'cause if he died, we'd go to prison

little bits of salty water trickle from his eyes
his voice just trembles and shakes a bunch
we've never seen this in our life.

something in his brain just isn't right.
he might just be less crazy when he's high.
maybe if we bring her back, he'll make his way outside.
but he shouldn't be denied, his chance for suicide.

There has to be away for him to manage through it all
a therapist to call, and start whining.

she'll tell him to sit down and talk about his life..
her last piece of advice,
was 'Stop Crying'
