Stop The Genocide Poem by Yehualashet Teshome

Stop The Genocide

Rating: 4.0

You hate us
And yet
Think what will happen
When we are gone
Who will toil?
From dawn to dusk
To grow the rice
The bananas and oranges
Lemons and avocados
The coffee and tea
You consume everyday
Go to your kitchen
And check what you have
Where it comes from
Who will pick the cotton?
In the heat
Sweating blood
Just to keep you warm
Who will fight the wars you wage?
To loot resources
Who will take care?
Of your spoiled brats
Wipe their bottoms
Change their diapers
When we are gone
If we are gone
So, stop the genocide
Stop killing us
We will be fine without you
But not you without us
