Stowaway Poem by Zoran Bogdanovic

Stowaway

I have long ago boarded, unnoticed,
this ship on which, ever since then, I sail
the sea of my life.I do not know to swim.

As every ticketless passenger, I constantly
hide, in the darkness under the deck;
I often descend here, to the ninth, lowest
level, where my traces disappear.

Where I am going I know no more, the horizon
I do not see, nor the distant lands, nor ports.
I only know the darkness, silence, hope end efforts.
