Strange Weather Poem by Antara Jha

Strange Weather

It was love at first sight
And we were just co-passengers
Sharing an air turbulence
That had us accidentally holding hands
While we aimed for our arm rests

Maybe it was the electricity between us
Creating the storm outside
Our beating hearts rocking the seats
Making the seat-belt lights turn on
So that nobody else is pulled into our madness

We didn’t talk about anything,
Except the strange weather
And the fact that we’re both
On connecting flights to different places
