Strangely Failing Satellites Fall Poem by Robert Rorabeck

Strangely Failing Satellites Fall

Strangely failing satellites fall,
They fall like f*ck’n snow.
Strangely failing satellites fall,
She disappears down the hall so far;
She is out back there in the snow.
She has climbed so far for just to sell
Semi-preciously to the tourists in Colorado.
Her children will never know to believe
How her eyes once fell upon alligators sleeping
Torpidly on the humid banks so far below.
Strange failing satellites fall,
My eyes are made of dreams and all
Splintered up and cut and shook so they swim up
From themselves come morning from those
Drooling scenarios which play out all about her;
And she doesn’t even know.
Strangely failing satellites fall-
They fall like f*ck’n snow.
