Stranger Poem by Christian Crisostomo

Stranger

STRANGER

I saw her walking in the seashore.
Barefooted. Playing with the waves.
She dances above the singing sea breeze
as the sun shines and stared at her.

Her lips is as red as the blood.
The blood that sprout out form my heart.

Her hair is as dark as my past
that keeps swinging in my head.
Her sweet smile became the bitterness
in my motionless tongue.

Every breath that she takes,
Every steps that she makes…
These became a beautiful nightmare
that makes me awake
for every seconds of my life
as I’m watching the stars that shiver
a million light years away from my head.

Her voice seems to be coming
from a distant galaxy
and my ears became blackholes
that pull down the sound that she made.

Her voice was trapped
In my ears and it travels
across every devices in inside my head
until it reaches my brain.
And from it, the sound will continue
to flourish until my head aches
and can no longer hold it.
My soul doesn’t have a choice
but to let go of the trapped sound.

Her hands are the soft feathers
in my pillow that comforts me
in my sleepless nights.
The touch of her hands
Is as warm as the sunrays
In every dawn of the spring,
autumn, winter, and summer days.

Her eyes are the every sunrise
of my life.
They give me the sweetest stare ever
and provides the greatest
mornings of my life.

I still saw her as she walked
continuously toward the aisle
of the endless sky.
I saw her as she is continuously
Walking until she became a dot
between the sand and waves.
