Stranger In My Dream - Poem by Lauren Gadd

THE DARKNESS FALLS BEYOND THE NIGHT
IM HOLDING MY PILLOW, GRIPING IT TIGHT
I SEE A DARK VICTIM IN BLACK CLOTHES
WANDER TOWARDS ME WITHOUT A PAUSE
I FEEL UPON MY NECK HES BREATH
I REMEMBER THE KNIFE THAT CAUSED HES DEATH
HES VOICE IT WHISPERS IN MY EAR
EVERY NIGHT I WAKE WITH FEAR
I FEEL AS THOUGH IM ABOUT TO BURN
HE LEAVES A DRAUGHT, WILL HE RETURN
I REMEMBER HES NAME LIKE YESTERDAY
I REMEMBER THE COFFIN IN WHICH HE LAY
HE LOOKED ALL VICIOUS, HE LOOKED ALL MEAN
I REMEMBER THE STRANGER IN MY DREAM
