Strangers Like Brothers Poem by Lato Denilson Osaigbokan

Strangers Like Brothers

For Sirajo Skt

To define religion
we go beyond the long distance of embrace— your big laughter cushioning the air
with promise, moments from the first day of knowing you.
The memories on a knife edge worth remembering each time
i stare into your dream world;
Brother… you are the unforgettable tune strumming in the strings of a violin.

So many times i marvel how spaces cut deep into us with smiling injury
as we bled out happiness
erecting sand castles on beach sand.

Yours hands tucked into a jalabiya, in the petals of friendship you grew love
Without reservation

Beyond those moments…. Till forever nights and days.
