Street Survivors{ Being Again} Poem by Mountain Man

Street Survivors{ Being Again}

Rating: 5.0

Tough as nails.
For i sleep on
this bed of roses for ya.
A city feasting on steak & snails.
As the rail lines bring'em in.
Is this a state of sin.
Roger is a Dodger fan
all decked out in his
finest.
A games played with strikes & balls.
Put'em to the walls.
Remembering the days of grand pa.
The dirty 30's hand to mouth
no jobs abound.
Soup lines stretched around the block.
Out of the cold.

Not really right.
Man, woman, child.
A place to call their own
'Home.'

Good poem. To realize Life's injustices and be thankful for what we have and help, if we can. When more honesty will be, maybe also injustices will be less.
