Streetlights Poem by Ming (Cody)

Streetlights

I walk down the road,
all the lights are on,
all is lit,
I can see everything so perfectly,
The skyscrapers,
the houses,
the people,
the beauty.

They begin to rust before my eyes.

they begin to flicker.
on and off,
I can barely see the happiness.

One by one,
flicker, out.
flicker, out.
flicker, out.
The people are disappearing,
the world is disappearing.

The lights are out,
i'm scared,
I think i'm lost.
where did the beauty go?
