The Parent I'm With Poem by Ming (Cody)

The Parent I'm With

Wether i'm short and mean,
or if i'm calm and collected.
Wether i'm with family,
or if i'm alone.
Wether i'm busy,
or if i'm free.
Who i wake up with and see the presents,
or who I go to doors with looking for candy.
Wether i'm outside playing,
or inside playing.
every single person i'm with,
every single thing i do,
depends on which parent i'm with.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The background of this poem is that earlier in my life, my parents got divorced. When they had got divorced, they decided to not one parent take custody, but to have joint custody, where we switched who we were with every week. This had been kinda rough at the beginning for my family, especially for me and my sister, because we had to take our things back and forth between houses. I myself am a gamer, so this made it very complicated to have normal things like game consoles and Desktop Computers. It's been a hard time for me and my sister, but i feel like it's become a normal part of my life now. Anyway, thanks for reading.
