I was taken to a place
Where try to make you face
Reality
The dying sky had no stars to streak across
I was alive but at a loss
I was falling, yes, But not to defeat
I found it doesn't bother you if I starve
It bothers you when I eat
I met a man
A few hundred dollars in his hand
he said I could rock a band
And give up to God
All I had
That's too bad
I don't look good in plaid
If I had a rainbow to give away
I would say I could die today
I could starve, and being exposed to weather
So much for us being together
I will not pray to a God
Who doesn't show up in the end
I will not pretend
In the end
That you were my friend
