We set sail to the far east, poised
towards the burning red sun
foul heat stroked our wired bodies
as we sweated in our yearning
for adventures... or strange pleasures
and we bared with us no trinkets
just a loose rope and compass
we traced angles with our fingers
our minds raced to distant vistas to taste sweat waters... or their daughters
As we came upon the city
in the backsides of the nights
forbidden lanes bared many parlors
that welcomed fellow travelers
to find new lovers... or other orders
In the neon lights of blue lust
and On the airs of opium
I was reborn in a dark room
Drinking wines and singing songs
under white light, .... and Turkish delights
And as I walked the crowded lanes
I felt a thousand ecstasies
to loose my head, or give one
like an animal of impulse
in wicked gardens... without kind wardens
Youth is an age for adventure, and the expenditure of much grace. A well-conceived and excellently constructed piece; it conveyed me back to a time when my nerve was greater than my discernment. Bravo, good poet!

and we bared with us no trinkets..........i'd say bore. and Bare means naked, but to bear is to carry something. [thanks, Google] Being a 'dirty old man', i enjoyed: our minds raced to distant vistas to taste sweat waters... or their daughters :) .........to loose my head, or give one............maybe lose my head? I 'love' the alliterations: in wicked gardens... without kind wardens ..........Land ho! bri :)
