Struggles Poem by Lynne Howard

Struggles

No one can put themselves
Into another person's shoes
Only they know how they fit
In the battle of the blues

Life becomes an uphill struggle
In their daily grind
Each trying to find an answer
To help themselves unwind

For some it's booze or pills
Or just another caffeine fix
Whatever rocks their boat
It may just do the trick

Others go a different route
In search of spiritual faith
Seeking solace of the church
With help of prayer to keep them safe

Eveyone handles life differently
In their daunting drudge
Just be there to offer support
For who are we to judge
