Stunted Hill Poem by Trisha Mae Galia

Stunted Hill

Rating: 5.0

The earthquake hit ages ago
But you're still suffering from
The endless waves of aftershocks
You still shiver under your blanket
You still vividly remember
Certain memories you should forget
Even the happy memories
Have been painted cumulus blue
The sturdy mountain has met its end
The bamboo has made its final bend
The scorching heat has replaced
The once cool, comfortable shade
You're still shaken to your core
Barely remember who you were before.
