Submission To God Poem by Dr John Celes

This body doesn’t belong to me;
The life within isn’t either mine;
Both born were from Your love divine;
I have no right o’er them truly!

Your love and kindness amaze me;
Your care and fondness is perfect;
My senses can’t detect defect;
Your heart of love is great simply.

And, yet I keep complaining much;
My human love can’t match Yours, God;
I have become imperfect, Lord;
I need Your grace, forgivness-touch!

Heal me, O God, my soul and heart;
Let all my weaknesses depart;
Rejuvenate each body-part;
Let my spiritual journey restart!
