Such A Loving Pair Poem by Raymond Farrell

Such A Loving Pair

Such a loving pair
Completely devoted to each other
They were always there
When I went out walking.

I have observed them since last Fall
And now it is Spring
They made it through the Winter and all
The snow and inclement weather.

And today, a bright Spring day
I saw them snuggling together
In an intimate sort of way
On the college lawn.

So much to be learned from two Canadian Geese
Who are utterly devoted to each other
In a world of humans so seldom at peace
Where wars beget wars, one after another.
