Such a sight for summer-stained eyes
The cold breathes down my back
Too cold for a warming ransack
In a shelter where bears the truth's lies
Such a sight for sun-scorched eyes
Left me to search for a cranny or crack
Where the warm is there to lack
But another whisper there dies.
The words of forgotten closure
Grow new as heat slips from my reaches
Inside this hole where I lay
The whispers shout to ensure
This is where heaven to earth breaches
Such is the sight where forever I will stay.
