Sufferings Compared To Glory Poem by Kawake Sipelo Vuke

Sufferings Compared To Glory

The pain clouds the mind and impairs the judgement.
It cause the headaches, and increase the insecurities.
It stresses the mind and gives birth to the worries.
It suffocates the hope and bear the fruits of despair.

We have experienced sufferings That renders it difficult to focus on the glory.
It is har!
For the sufferings take no pause,
But constantly bury me in shame.
The pain — with time — becomes unbearable.

This pain doesn't seem to be
making me stronger,
It is breaking me!
In pieces I exist,
Scattered across a dark surface.

In sin I was born,
In pain I have lived,
In shame shall die,
In glory I shall rise
And with Christ I shall live in all eternity.

Until then, in these sufferings I am buried,
To this pain I am cuffed.
