To Whom Shall I Turn? Poem by Kawake Sipelo Vuke

To Whom Shall I Turn?

When I am overburdened with sin,
Overwhelmed by trials,
Exhausted by overthinking;
To whom shall I turn?

Where will I go when Overcrowded with sorrows,
When I am hard-pressed by worry
When life pain leads me to despair;
To whom shall I turn?

I will look into the highest heaven where my Lord is,
seated at the right hand of the Father;
I will cry out to Him and He shall intercede
To this One I shall turn: Jesus Christ my Lord.

For My God has said: I will never leave you nor forsake,
And He also said: cast out your anxiety to me, for I care;
Then He said call Me on the day of trouble, I shall come to save you, and you shall praise Me.
Finally, He has said: when you are faithless, I remain faithful,

To this One I shall turn: to my Lord and God: Jesus Christ.
