Sufi Gesu Daraz 'chishti' Poem by Sumita Jetley

Sufi Gesu Daraz 'chishti'

In the dawn's embrace, he whispered love,
To skies painted with divine brush above.
'Your beauty, unmatched, ' the Sufi spoke,
As into his heart, the light awoke.

From Delhi's heart to lands anew,
With blessings, his Murshid's bidding flew.
Gesu Daraz, with grace imbued,
To Gulbarga's embrace, he pursued.

In the verandah, where roses bloom,
Amidst spring's eternal, fragrant loom,
The fair of souls, in search of light,
Found refuge in his wisdom's might.

This story, a tale of love's pure flight,
Reflects the beauty of the divine sight.
For in the bond of Murshid and Wali,
Lies the path to truths, deep and holy.
