The shadows are spreading
Their wings of darkness
Painted with the colours of
unreachable dreams
How foolish we are
To catch immortality
With the words gathered
Of praise and flattery
Faded and forgotten with time.
We the subjects of fear
For safety and security
Have built a castle in the air
With hopes and beliefs
born out of blindness
But alas! we know not that
In the dark chamber of ignorance
We are already missing
Though beheaded
Our hands still held high
We have declared ourselves
As the son of God
Though we have killed Him
Long back.
