Suicide - Poem by kawambee thomas
Life - so chaotic as it twists and it turns.
Like being bare foot in the sand as it burns.
To the left you run but you look to the right.
Close your eyes in the day open up into night.
Soon you couldn’t tell if it was real or a dream.
All alone, by yourself you sat and you screamed.
Kept faith optimistically and prayed before bed,
Begging and pleading for the light to be shed.
In through your nose and out through your mouth,
Just relax, that’s what they all said.
Close your eyes and let go as you blow your breath out,
All the while unaware – gun – trigger – bullet – head.
