Sukoon Wali Chai! Poem by Sumita Jetley

Sukoon Wali Chai!

In the morning light, so soft and clear,
Amara rises, the day is near.
Barefoot she walks on the dewy ground,
In her garden, peace is found.

A cup of tea in her gentle hand,
In a Kashmiri cup, so fine, so grand.
The mist still clings, the breeze so light,
The world asleep, yet filled with light.

She sits alone, the trees sway slow,
The whispering winds begin to blow.
With every sip, her soul finds grace,
A smile of calm upon her face.

No rush, no hurry, no racing mind,
In the quiet hour, peace she'll find.
The jasmine blooms, the air so sweet,
In this moment, she feels complete.

The day will call, the world will start,
But Amara holds peace in her heart.
For in the dawn, with tea so true,
She finds herself in skies of blue.

A ritual of life, so simple, so dear,
A reminder that peace is always near.
In every sip, she knows her way,
Sukoon in her heart, come what may.
