Sultry Eyes Poem by Roger Snow

Sultry Eyes

~ Saw Her Eyes, fell into them and Love ~

The petal like softness
of her eyes
as they meet mine
cause my heart to almost fail

Oh, in those days
Love was everywhere
in those times
life rode a road
paved with Stones of trust

There's a moment,
we all can say
we'd love to relive
and there's words,
so beautiful,
sometimes we wonder
how we allowed those
so easily to slip away

and some of them
I'd of loved to just
revisit here this day, , ,

There's a Light Shining
into a Future, , and that helps
me to see

and there's a Faith I believe
that those moments return
and it's then, , ,
they'll manage to remain

and then, children,
we can say we're truly ready to be free, , ,

Makers Love the Arts
and singers love Songs
that touch all our hearts

and finders, they bring Solace Home
Seekers, well, they can see
their own way home

and if the Lives of Loves
ever wish to be complete
they'll find their way
and that arena, ,
is all so sweet

I'm that Old Road Man
of which
Stories are told

Yet, I'd have ya understand
I'm not bragging
for I've never been
all that Bold

Just a Rambler
Man on the Move
without ties to no small
bit of land

Yea, just Rambler
outside the groove
living life in sighs
enjoying, , ,
whatever, ,
comes to hand

Petal like Softness
in her eyes
Silken Velveteen
sound of her sighs

Only Lover, ,
could ever hold me
make me stay, ,

Only love, , ,
I still love unto this very day

end~~~
