Summer Poem by Raghurama Raju

Summer

'If it's like this
in March itself,
how is it going to be
in May? '
'This summer is hotter
than all the earlier ones! '
'God! We may not
survive, this time! '

People have been reciting
the same script
since the first summer
occurred on the planet!

Summers have come
And summers have gone
But people continue to live!
Of course,
to repeat the same script!
