Summer Night
A cool breeze
Warm air
Sounds of the night
As I lay here
Hint of light
Awakening world
Beginning of the day
As I listen here
Time is passing
Trickling by
Silent in motion
As I wait here
Sleep alludes
Eyes closed tight
Hoping for rest
This hot summer night
