Summer Nights Glowed Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Summer Nights Glowed

Summer nights glowed
But we still found a cool place at night
To stand under the boughs and leaves
To sip down the cool wine
Now that winter came and passed
And it be Spring again
We still shall find a cool place at night
And to the pleasures of wine
Add the pleasures of Ideas, wisdom,
The new civilization
That growing thus glows to newer civilization.
