Summer's Night Poem by Verna Grayson

Summer's Night

Rating: 4.8

On this warm summer's night
The moon shines over the lake
Crickets playing a soft melody in the mist
Stars shining so brightly they twinkle
Breathing in that warm crisp air
Heaven sent
Just taking all memories in
Letting my feet kick the water back and forth
Pondering on how quiet the atmosphere is
Fireflies flying and lighting up the sky
Junebugs buzzing near
These summer nights are my way of escaping
