Summer's Time Poem by Rimni chakravarty

Summer's Time

Spring has left for another land
Where he has to play his hand
Yes it is humid and hot
At times the earth rot
Still I regret not
For the departure of spring
Although I feel a pang of separation from him
According to the wheels of Time
It is summers sublime
The mangroves are adorned with a crown
And offer its palette down
Longer days shorter nights
Bees arrive so do the glow worm spread the lights
It is summer's time
Humid, hot yet bold and beautiful
Summer has got to spread its rule
She will play her role well until the monsoon arrive
Down will pour the rain for whom we will thrive.
