'Sun Shine' Poem by Mishack Mchunu

'Sun Shine'

Good mood; day light
Bright moon; bitter night
Sun rises and slowly shines
Time whispers... behind the mountains it soon falls
Though less magnificent stars climb the sky
They replace not your presents before and after I temporarily die
In the vast bank of my memories
Dreams shall flow like river streams and fade my worries
With only old blankets in the cold they shall keep me warm
Hold on to me for together we so heavy to survive the storm
Rewind my mind to behind the wild
Be my home so I don’t roam in the midst of the blind
When you rise again would you be mine
Eternally would you please be my sun shine
