Sunday - Poem by Siri Atluri
Today shall be a great day
I know it, surely do know it
‘cause it's Sunday.
I sleep in
Because my heart knows there is no need to wake up
To the worries and hurries we live in.
I woke up groggy
And peered out of my window to see
That this great day is not at all foggy.
Oh! Is it one past noon already?
how time passes by on this seemingly timeless day! !
The sun in sky is going up steady.
"Oh! Sundays" my heart brightly glows.
Ah! But it's already the Sunday night
After hours and hours of fun
It's the eve of Monday morning blues.
