Sunflower Poem by shelby alwaysconfused

Sunflower

A grey, unshiney day.
A house with a broken soul.
dirt as dry as shattered dreams.
darkness swims through the skies,
as tear drops from the heavens,
crashing onto the earth.
a seed is down below with the figure of the rain.
it springs out roots,
and a stem sprouts next to abandoned grass.
yellow petals open
, a sunflower has been born
, bringing life to the old lonely home.
Along with a smile to every face
that walked by with a frown.
