Sunken Poem by Kaitlyn Sommerfield

Sunken

Come join us they said,
I jumped in thinking they wanted to play.
They pulled me under, taking my life away.
They only wanted me to be a servant of Him.
The Sea laughs in delight,
Another victum has fallen to him.
He congradulates them,
They're his little pets he says.
The Sea yells at them to get more.
It's only for his pleasure,
I try to stay behind,
I wanted to beg for my life.
But the hold was to strong,
They made me go.
I cried silently while they took another life.
I watch them beckon to a little boy,
He had escapes from his mother.
Now I know what they really do, seing it from another angle.
They pull the boy under,
Stealing his soul from his body.
They give the boy to me,
While they take the soul back to the Sea.
I comfort the little boy,
Telling him it just happened to me.
We float back to the Sea.
The Sea is happy with us,
He says a little boys soul is the best of all.
I am forever sunken in a world of water and salt...
