Sunlight Enclosed Poem by Dakota Ellerton

Sunlight Enclosed

As if the sun were shining on me,
she makes me feel warm.
My heart slows to a steady pace,
as my head lays in her lap.
Her fingers running through my hair,
I can't help but smile.
She takes care of me,
the way I'd want to take care of her.
She makes me feel beautiful,
as I want to make her feel.
But If she can't look through eyes unclouded,
I could never change her mind.
If only she could see,
what I see.
