Sunlit Ice Poem by John McCornack

Sunlit Ice

Everywhere you look there is ice
From old river trees to my home
Covering everything with a chill
Including places I love to roam

Then as it was time for a sunset
Golden rays lit up the whole sky
Each ice crystal began radiating
And it was hard to say goodbye
