Sunny Spring Day... Poem by Kerrie Smith

Sunny Spring Day...

A sunny spring day, I got out my bed.
My clothes didn't fit, it went to my head.
My smile became sadness, I couldn't see.
The people around me, what they mean to me.
I lay around, upset with a thrown.
I don't know why I acted like a clown.
I picked myself up and then sat in the sun.
Chatted away as the kids had some fun.
Went for a walk, laughed at our past.
Looked to the future and we had a blast.
Then off I went, down to see Nat.
Feel so much better, even with a small chat.
The next time I'm sad, il open my eyes.
Because now all I see is the bright blue skies.
