I watch the sun rise
Casting brilliant colors
Across the morning sky
As the little sparrows hop to
And fro begging for
Some seed at my window
I walk barefoot across the grass
Cool dew tickling my feet as it
Sparkles in the sun like glass
The hellebores nod their heads
To the gentle morning winds
As they wake in the garden bed
The tulips stand tall and high
Matching the colors of dawn
As they reach for the sky
The pulmonaria flowers dance
In swirling shades of pink and
Blue to excite and entrance
And I sigh a most contented sigh
As I greet the emerging dawn
And once more bid the night goodbye
