Sunrise Commute Poem by Brooke Renwick

Sunrise Commute

The alarm cuts the dark at five,
A quiet rhythm to stay alive.
I wash my face.
The coffee poured,
Oats and toast. Out the door.
Each day as it comes!
Commuting with the rising sun.
Lunch breaks are freedom
Sunset to dawn - freedom
Weekends are freedom.
