Supernova Poem by John Fenton Mcleish

Supernova

*This poem is dedicated to the king of Thailand.

*After meeting and talking with many Thai people, in general, I believe this is how
they would be feeling after the passing of their king and which I now express in
words.

A great star has fallen from the night sky
Yet his light shines for all eternity
Such a celestial being so high
Illuminated all with such beauty

Many will weep for this almighty sun
Did radiate with such magnificence
In love his spirit surely carries on
So majestic in soul and essence

Millions will mourn for his tragic loss
Bathed his people in golden brilliance
His body is gone but he is not lost
An infinite universal presence

Rivers of tears they do shed in Siam
For the king who unified all their land
