Sure Thing Poem by John Sensele

Sure Thing

Sure thing, I'm insane
To speak to a world which listens
To nothing but an inane
Voice that makes sinful scenes.

Sure thing, I'm crazy
To believe the world loves the poor
For whom my daughter Lizzy
Cares every hour.

Sure thing, I dig being a Mathematics
Lecturer
Though fanatics
Think I'd rather be an ascetic adventurer.

Sure thing, I adore communication
Between a sender and a receiver
Through a medium of Facebook transmission
Undercutting and undermining a deceiver.
