The brighter side of life she does embrace
She always does have a big smile on her face
Her husband and their only child in a motor car accident died
By misfortune of a long life they were denied
Her husband was then forty five their son was nineteen
Through times of deep sorrow in life she has been
But all of this happened some six years ago
And that time is the healer happens to be so
Surely one of the bravest on her side of the town
She has refused to allow grief to keep her down
In her early fifties and alone in life
She may never again be any man's wife
Of sorrow in her mind she does not show any outward trace
She always does have a big smile on her face.
