Surge Poem by Laureate Ezekiel

Surge

Disillusionment, a charm,
Working it's way
Through our chambered hearts,
Falling into despair.

Crying out, smashing through
Until Finally
A crack Forms.
Louder, now.

The cry turns to
A scream.
An accompaniment
Joins in.

In one last triumphant
Surge, the barrier is
Shattered.
And now the meaning is out.

We see, as one.
Oblivious to everyone
Else.
Time continues forever.
