Surrender Poem by Zena Blank

Surrender

Rating: 5.0

I surrender
my white flag is waving
upon what I once called mine
all my glory
my dignity
my self worth
its all yours now
everything I've ever worked for
anything I was ever proud of
any glimmer of hope I had of getting out of this on my own
you took it
right out from under me
as if the ground had just fallen out from beneath my feet
I'm in a free fall
no end in sight
no light
just blackness and confusion
no direction
going with gravity
I can't fight any more
there's no drive left
you drained me
I surrender
