Surround Yourself With Nice Thoughts Poem by Paul Reed

Surround Yourself With Nice Thoughts

Rating: 5.0

I have a cure for beating the blues
You can adopt it, it's totally free to use
It's a method which joy and wellbeing supports
A method called surrounding yourself with nice thoughts;

It matters not if they are plenty or few
Everyone has some nice thoughts hidden from view
Dust them all off and bring them back into the light
And see how much better you'll soon feel tonight;

The job of nasty thoughts is to make you doubt,
Invite fear in and good thoughts to crowd out
So take a deep breath and slowly blow them away
Surround yourself with nice thoughts just for one day;

Everyone has a place, a someone, a dream
A secret hideaway or a mountain stream
Go there now and let the happy feelings emerge
Let those beautiful nice thoughts uplift and surge;

Think comfortable and cosy, safe and secure
And you're already half way to providing the cure
Give your mind a rest from all that clinging anxiety
And join the 'Surround Yourself With Nice Thoughts Society'.
