Erum Khan

Survival - Poem by Erum Khan

I want to survive: to see the beauties that lies within
Energized with the rays of the ultimate source, I want to survive;
to glance the painted green crust, the white tops of those that stand high
and to see what lies under the blue crystal sheet
and those that swim above the rain;
I want to see; that twinkle in the darkness
and want to see; the core of me

O! I wish I could survive, and be a
soothing breeze for ornamenting colours,
an answer for unsolved mysteries

Will I survive beloved stars, sharks
vultures, sun and seas? ? ?
Will miracle give it true meaning? ?
will it ever touch the dreams that I see? ?
