Survival Rivalry Poem by Braden Patton

Survival Rivalry

I cant help but to hear
all the name calling and spiteful glances.
I guess ill have to retaliate
with this combination of insults and empty romances.

Your name is nothing more than a reminder
Of my struck libido and disgust.
Why do you think id rather talk to you
than indulge in the matters of lust.

A friend is what you posed as
Just to get with me.
But I never wanted your form,
And now I can finally see.

A rebound in vain
And a breakup for today.
Nothing is as annoying
as the amount you talk per day.

I cant believe I mattered so much
To someone I didn’t desire.
So heres a little note to represent
how much I distain little liars.

Do you ever stop?
Do you ever cease?
I cant wait until im free,
Until I am released.

I don’t care that you’re upset
And I don’t care if you hate me.
I know it must be fun for you
When you go on a hating spree.

Its ok if you never want to see me again,
I don’t want to see you either.
Just know that I wont ever leave
I will be the crowned survivor.
