Surviving The Inner Battle Poem by ANIKET NISHAD

Surviving The Inner Battle

A brutal war took hold, consuming days and nights.
But we fought on, though we couldn't predict the fight.
An aggressive heart was warned, but wouldn't listen.
Ignoring the facts, it forged ahead, driven by ambition.

The heart was blind to the battle that would soon begin.
Possessed by mishap, it controlled the mind within.
Days passed and the two became bitter rivals at war.
One aggressive, the other patient, but both in pain evermore.

The battlefield transformed a once-jovial soul.
Verbal disputes echoed in the brain, making it toll.
The aggressive rival was powerless, but the mind took hold.
A five-year battle, sanity gone, and divinity sold.

But the view is clearer now, the calmness prevails.
The thrill of the fight still alive, ready to unveil.
To win this war, the passive side must reign supreme.
And bring an end to this battle, a peace-filled dream.
